I first discovered Bowen after successful treatment of my fibromyalgia, after months of suffering chronic pain and fatigue. After receiving Bowen treatment I not only found my pain levels significantly reduced but so did my medication dosages. I have an increased energy level and a greater sense of well-being to. I have also found that my associated depression secondary to the fibromyalgia is no-longer an issue, this is because Bowen is holistic and encourages the body to self-heal both physically and emotionally. I now have Bowen therapy every 6 weeks to maintain my sense of well-being and keep my fibro symptoms under control.
I was so impressed with how gentle, yet deeply restorative The Bowen Technique is, and its success with helping me to manage my long term condition, I decided to train to become a Bowen Practitioner. I have a keen passion to help others become the best they can be and to help them achieve a greater sense of well-being, that in turn enriches their daily living experience.
To qualify as a Practitioner of The Bowen Technique I have completed five blocks of intensive training with the European College of Bowen Studies, one of the leading schools in Bowen studies. I completed more than 60 treatments for case studies, and passed both written examination and practical assessment to a high standard. I am currently updating my anatomy and physiology qualification with VTCT and regularly undertaking CPD courses to extend my skills and knowledge.
As a former Assistant Practitioner working in General Practice within the healthcare sector, I bring a wealth of experience in caring for others and a professional approach to running my clinics and ensure my clients receive the highest quality of service while in my care. I see a wide range of people within my clinics due to Bowen being suitable for newborns through to the end of life. I believe everyone should be treated as an individual with dignity and respect, and take time to understand each client's needs so that I can personalise treatments and ensure a holistic approach is given within the course of treatment received.
If there is anything else you would like to know please ask, I'm always happy to answer any questions regarding Bowen and the service I offer!
